Vintage F1 Jacket Buyer's Guide: What to Look For
Condividi
Vintage F1-style jackets are everywhere, from paddock-inspired designs to 90s stock-car looks. Before you order one, a few simple checks make the difference between a jacket you wear for years and one that stays in the wardrobe.
1. Embroidered or printed patches?
The charm of a racing jacket is in its patches. Embroidered patches have relief and texture, and they last far longer than printed logos, which can crack or fade after a few washes. All our jackets use embroidered patches.
2. Lining: thin or warm?
A thin lining makes a light spring jacket. A warm full lining turns it into a real autumn and winter jacket. Our premium versions have a warm full lining and inner pockets: the lining takes a little room, which is why sizing matters.
3. Check the fit in centimetres
Sizes vary a lot between brands, and many racing jackets come up small. Always check a size chart in cm rather than relying on your usual size. Ours run small, so we recommend one size up: up to 167 cm, M; 168 to 175 cm, L; 176 to 182 cm, XL; 183 cm and over, XXL. See our size guide.
4. Choose the style that suits you
- Paddock style: colour blocks and sponsor-style patches, the classic F1 look. See our F1-style collection.
- Rally style: bold liveries and a warm lining. See our rally collection.
- Stock-car style: loud colours and big patches, the American look. See our NASCAR-style collection.
5. Delivery and returns
Check the delivery time and the returns policy before you pay. We ship worldwide, including the UK and Ireland, by tracked post for €10, with delivery in 7 to 12 days. Prices are shown in euros. You have 14 days after delivery to request a return. Details in our FAQ.
6. Care
An embroidered jacket lasts longer if you wash it inside out at 30°C and never tumble dry it. Read our care guide.
